01The brief

A one-day esports homecoming: Armada varsity teams against returning alumni across Apex Legends, League of Legends and Halo Infinite, with the winners going on the Hall of Game trophy. It opened Hall of Fame week, and it had to land with two audiences at once: the people in the room and everyone watching the stream.

The hard part was scale: one direction carried through every asset, concept to completion, with the energy an esports crowd expects, in the room and on screen.

“Hall of Game is a highly anticipated event for students and alumni alike.”

Sari Kitelyn, Director of Esports, Full Sail University

02The idea

Homecoming tradition and an esports rivalry, with a more modern, energetic look than the year before. Everything was built to feel like a college game day.

03The system

Mark, type, color and graphic language
The Hall of Game shield mark: an orange football-style shield with a geometric A cut out of it, on textured charcoal Primary mark. Drawn from college football so the event reads as game day at a glance. The shield carries over from the year before, redrawn sharper, and splits into team marks, A for Alumni and V for Varsity, for scoreboards, overlays and champion screens.
Helvetica Neue Black CondensedHomecomingYellowtailWelcome Home
Typography. A heavy condensed face for esports energy, and a script for the personal, traditional note: the tagline “Welcome Home” and the word “Team” on scoreboards.
Armada Orange#ED5F22
Dark Gray#222222
Light Gray#F3F3F3
Color. Straight from the Armada palette.
Team lockups side by side: Team in orange script over ALUMNI in bold gray italic capitals on charcoal, and Team in white script over VARSITY in bold brown italic capitals on orange Team lockups. One construction, two colorways, carried through the team desks, venue screens, scoreboards and fan posters.

04Rollout

One idea across every screen and surface
Social post: the Homecoming 2025 lockup over a photo of the stage, with Team Alumni vs Team Varsity and Sunday March 9th, 2:00 PM, on Twitch Social post: event details in a dark column beside three stacked photos of fans, players and the stage
Promotion. Social posts with the matchup, the date and where to watch.
Grid of Hall of Game Homecoming 2025 broadcast graphics: team scoreboards, game rules screens for Apex Legends, League of Legends and Halo Infinite, lower thirds, in-game overlays and champion announcements in orange, black and gray Broadcast and motion. Animated backgrounds, transitions, looping logos, lower thirds, schedule, scoreboards and game overlays.
The event room on the day: casters at the desk in front of a crowd, with A and V shield banners on the walls and the Homecoming 2025 walk-in screen on the main display

Walk-in loop
Varsity win
Alumni win
In the venue. One layout system mapped across every screen in the room: wall banners, the minitron, team desks, the main tron and the ribbon ring. A walk-in loop ran all day, and each team had a win scene that took over the room.
Fan poster: Let’s Go in cream script over VARSITY in bold brown italic capitals on orange Fan poster: Let’s Go in orange script over ALUMNI in bold gray italic capitals on charcoal Fan poster: Good Game in cream script over WELL PLAYED in bold brown italic capitals on orange
Fan posters. A sign for each side of the crowd, plus one for the end of every match.
Two felt pennants: a charcoal Alumni pennant and an orange Varsity pennant, each with the Hall of Game Homecoming 2025 roundel
Homecoming 2025 event credentials on orange lanyards, labelled Player and Host Four buttons: orange and gray A shields, a Hall of Game Homecoming 2025 roundel, and GGWP
A table of Homecoming 2025 lockup stickers, shield buttons, pennants and HOF Week patches at the event Black event T-shirt: HOF Week on the front chest, and the Hall of Game Homecoming lockup with Welcome Home in orange script on the back
Swag and print. The pennants were the most popular takeaway of the day. There were also credentials, buttons, stickers and an event T-shirt.

05Owning it end to end

I designed every piece: the brand, the venue screens and the stream.

A call I madeTreating it as collegiate sports, not another esports event. Full Sail has no traditional college game day, so this gave students one, and it set the right tone for current students against returning alumni.
Making it work in the roomEvery screen in the room had its own brightness, resolution and color, so on site I tuned color, content scale and animation speed screen by screen until the whole space read as one system.
